miGut-Health Contributes to Horizon Europe Cluster Event on RNA Therapeutics for IBD

On 24 June 2026, the miGut-Health project participated in the Horizon Europe cluster event “Advancing RNA Therapeutics for Inflammatory Bowel Disease”, hosted by the GENEGUT project. The event brought together representatives from EU-funded research projects, academia, industry, patient organisations and policy stakeholders to discuss the future of RNA-based therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

As one of the invited Horizon Europe projects, miGut-Health contributed its perspective on advancing personalised approaches to IBD prevention and management. Together with fellow projects such as GENEGUT and FIBROTARGET, the discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration across complementary research initiatives to accelerate innovation and maximise the impact of European research investments.

The event also emphasised the value of involving patient organisations and policy stakeholders in shaping future IBD research, ensuring that scientific advances remain closely aligned with patient needs. Through its participation, miGut-Health reinforced its commitment to fostering collaboration across the European IBD research community and supporting the development of innovative, patient-centred solutions for improving gut health.

To extend the event beyond the live discussions, organisers also created a virtual exhibition space featuring materials from GENEGUT, FIBROTARGET, miGut-Health, IFCCA and CCI. The exhibition brings together project posters and videos showcasing the latest developments in IBD research, RNA therapeutics and patient advocacy, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore the projects' objectives, achievements and collaborative efforts.
